Just another day in the wild on the Jakarta Raya (City Flyer) Indonesia. We woke up this morning to wild birds at the bus terminal, no I don't mean we had ducks, we had finches, pigeons, and a very noisy crane. Not a bad start.

Our tickets were some of the cheapest in the day, less than $7 for a journey from Jakarta to Banten. The bus began very early, but unfortunately in true Indonesian style it did not leave on time.

We set off around 11am, another 4 hours of rattling through the Indonesian countryside and then suddenly, we reached our destination.

For those who were already familiar with Indonesian agriculture, it may seem like a very strange place. It seemed like everyone was working at the same time and the distance between the farms seemed to be huge.

We arrived to the base of the mountain, the actual location of the title for our afternoon game was actually at the top of this mountain and we had to climb it!

The climb was surprisingly steep. But we still arrived at the location and excitedly we started our exploration of the world of Raja Ampat.

In the afternoon we visited a collection of floating islands which were created by the fast moving water around this mountain, and we also had our first interaction with the tribe of the islands.

These tribal men were wonderfully kind, they invited us for a coffee and a tour around the 'islands' but it wasn't really a tour, more of a conversation. I think we learned a lot about their culture, especially how great their language was.

On the bottom of the mountain, were one of the most beautiful caves I have ever seen. It was dark, but yet captivating. A perfect escape for those who want a little solitude on this world.

On the last day we had a great time. Our guide welcomed us to the island of Raja Ampat and explained to us about the area and the marine. In particular the enormous amount of marine life that could be found here. The coral and the islands, and even the tourist that came here.
